            Below is an outline of how the Pacific West Region evaluates projects submitted for 20% fee funding.  Please review the documents listed below for tips an   examples and suggestions on how to complete a PMIS project statement.  Any project that directly benefits visitors can be successful in securing these NPS

            funds.

 

            By completing this exercise, you should have an outline which can be used to develop a complete PMIS project statement.

 

            We recommend you consult your region for requirements before entering your project into PMIS.

 

Instructions: 

1.      Complete each field to the best of your ability. 

2.      Provide short (1 paragraph) narratives in the Description, Justification, and Measureable Results sections. 

3.      Provide short (1-2 sentences) narratives for at least one of the objectives under Justification.

4.      Provide short (1-2 sentences) narratives for at least one of the Criterion under Justification.

5.      Estimate what percent of the project related to each of the Criterion addressed in 4 above.

6.      Check the appropriate description and level of visitor involvement under each Criterion addressed in 4 above.

7.      Be prepared to discuss your project on November 2.
